B’TheLight Coaching

I know very well that many people are curious about what a life and mindset coach can do for them. Having been trained at the Coaches Training Institute® (CTI), an accredited organization by the International Coach Federation (ICF), I’ve done my best to answer many of the basic questions that people often ask me as well as shine some light on what a prospective client might expect, should they choose to WORK WITH ME. Details below!

What is life coaching?

One common misconception about life coaching is that it is therapy in disguise, or worse yet, therapy from an unlicensed practitioner. In reality, life coaching is truly its own unique service designed to help individuals meet the outcomes that will bring them success, confidence, and fulfillment in any and all areas of life.

What I do

As a trained life and mindset coach, I work with women who are struggling to find self-worth, identity, confidence, direction, and faith. I believe that even though we are all a little broken and often surrounded by darkness, light still exists within each of us.

B'THELIGHT exists to help women find the light within themselves by working to change their daily mindset and negative perceptions that Often limit potential. I provide the direction, tools, support, feedback and structure many women need to ultimately take action, to become their best and Truest self, and to thrive.

Depending on your specific challenges, goals, and objectives, we may work together to:

  1. Determine your vision for personal and professional success

  2. Identify and manage fear, doubt, worry or guilt that interferes with the changes you want to make in your life

  3. Identify and re-work negative perspectives, patterns or old ways of thinking that no longer serve you or the pursuit of your goals

  4. Identify your core values, strengths and priorities so you can better leverage and honor them in your personal and professional life

  5. Break down your goals into small, achievable action steps that are big enough to move you forward and small enough to be realistic

  6. Develop a self-care practice, focussed on self-worth and confidence, that will serve you and support you in achieving your goals

  7. Develop new best practices for time management and/or stress management

  8. Cultivate a new paradigm and approach for daily living

What I provide

Before we can go any where, we need to know where we're starting from. That said, it is important for me to have a thorough understanding of where my client is on their current journey. I will send forms to help me to better clarify and understand what my clients want and need out of coaching. Consider this the starting line.

Following this, my clients and I meet on a weekly basis to work through key questions and walk through exercises related to the clients challenges and goals. By the end of each session, we will collectively develop a homework assignment to focus on, and to provide a clear sense of direction while preparing for our next session. If you truly commit to the process, you will find that the real benefits of coaching show up when you least expect them, often in between our weekly sessions.

Here's the thing --- When I work with clients, it is a firm commitment of time, focus, attention, and love. I know that when my clients show up to put in the work, to truly invest in themselves, their light will follow. I will be there on the other end, ready to help and support however I can. Paying up front is the best way to ensure that I know my clients are committing to their end of the bargain. (Because there are no refunds, I would ask that you please reach out if you have any questions. Make the best decision for yourself. Please make sure it's a fit before signing up. For those that do, I am so excited to work with you.)

How life coaching differs from therapy?

Although life coaching and therapy can complement each other, life coaching is not therapy. It is important to know that therapy is a long-term process guided by a licensed healthcare professional that focusses on the past and on introspection and analysis, with the hope of resolving past issues and creating a happier, more stable future. If you are looking to obtain a prescription, work through self-harm or suicidal thoughts, or struggling with substance abuse, please contact a licensed medical professional to obtain the help you need.

In life coaching, a client works with coach, who is not a licensed healthcare professional, to clarify goals and identify obstacles and problematic behaviors in order to create a specific action plan to achieve desired results. The process of life coaching takes a client from point a to point b, focussing on moving forward with a renewed action-based perception. A life coach enables their clients to take control of their lives in an effort to steer towards clear, defined goals.

Said simply, a life coach offers guidance by clarifying personal and professional goals, by working to improve perspective and daily mindset, and by helping to achieve a work/life balance. If this sounds like something you need to move your life forward, it’s time to take action and WORK WITH ME.

What Clients Are Saying

Brittany was my student When she was in high school. I do my best to nurture ALL of my kids, but I never knew what beautiful blessings would be returned to me by this amazing woman. We reconnected when I was pregnant with my second child. I was miserable, seriously overweight, buckling under the weight of two jobs while caring for a family, and completely ignoring my own needs. I lost 20 pounds the first 6 months of that pregnancy, and my doctor celebrated while I worried. I hated myself and didn’t see any light at the end of the tunnel. Brittany prayed with and for me. she talked to me and reminded me Whose I Truly was. I felt loved And was encouraged to find the beauty within myself. (my husband and kids are GREAT at telling me I’m beautiful and I’m loved, but it’s hard when you don’t FEEL it). Brittany’s support, prayers, and constant reminders helped me find “me” agaiN. She helped me see myself through God’s eyes, not the mirror.
Despite Being In what felt like such A dark place, Brittany helped me find worth in myself and my life. I can never thank her enough for the changes she’s helped me make in my life and her daily reminders of Whose love matters most. ️

I can’t say enough about how Brittany has helped me with so many aspects of my life. When something bad happened and I just didn’t think I could get out of bed, she provided this positivity and energy through her faith and strength that told me to keep going. When I needed motivation and advise for a healthier lifestyle, she was the person I turned too, giving me tips and being my biggest cheerleader. She took the time to learn about me and knew what I needed and incorporated her own relatable life experiences to prove I wasn’t alone. It gave me hope and confidence that downfalls in life are only temporary. She put me on the right path in so many areas that I will forever be grateful and no matter what life throws my way. I know that Brittany will always continue to be there.
